Two Southwest Arkansas Fatal Wrecks Sunday (Updated)

SCHAAL/OGDEN – Arkansas State Police Troop G officers worked two fatal accidents in southwest Arkansas Sunday.

A crash Sunday night on the Schaal Road near Mineral Springs claimed the life of a rural Mineral Springs man. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Jerry Henry, 55, died when his 2004 Dodge Durango traveled off the right side of the roadway and collided with a fence. He was pronounced dead by Howard County Coroner John Gray. The report states it was raining at the time. Corporal Travis Hale investigated.

A wreck around 6 am Sunday morning near Ogden in Little River County on County Road 70 killed one and injured three others. According to the preliminary Arkansas State Police report, passenger Jonathan Gaines, 20, was killed. Injured was driver Hannah Sisemore, 18, of Ashdown, Kendrick Wilson, 22, of Ogden and Alex Johnson-Wise, 21, of Texarkana.

The report says a 2004 Ford Mustang was traveling east on County Road 70 when it left the roadway and overturned. Gaines and Wilson were both ejected. Gaines was pronounced dead by Deputy Little River County Coroner Lindsey Gwin. Corporal Kyle Jones investigated.
