PRESCOTT – Commencement exercises for the Prescott High School Class of 2020 will be held at Cummings Stadium July 2 at 7 p.m.
Prescott Superintendent Robert Poole talked about the graduation at the June meeting of the Prescott School Board Tuesday night. There will be restrictions for those attending. Facemasks must be worn to get in and social distancing observed. Both sets of bleachers, home and visitor, will be used. The seniors will be on the field, spaced out six-feet apart and no one is allowed on the field at any time – before, during or after the ceremony.
Poole said the district will take photos of the seniors receiving their diplomas and get them to the families. In addition, there will be no speeches from the honor graduates this year. This is to keep the ceremony short and interaction to a minimum. Poole said it will be hot and people need to remember and prepare accordingly.
The graduation ceremony will also be live-streamed to allow people to watch from the safety of their homes.
