Hope Police Arrests

On June 29, 2020, at approximately 11:10pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Derrell A. Wyrick, 28, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with aggravated assault on a family member. The arrest occurred in the 1400 block of West Avenue D, in Hope.  Wyrick was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

 

On July 1, 2020, at approximately 7pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Darius Hurst, 24, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with 2 counts of aggravated assault on a family member.  The arrest occurred in the 500 block of North Hazel Street, in Hope.  Hurst was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

 

On July 1, 2020 at approximately 410:15am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Harmon Williams, Jr., 47, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with aggravated assault on a family member, domestic battery 3rd degree, and interference with emergency communications 1st degree.  The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street, in Hope.  Mr. Williams was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

 

On July 4, 2020 at approximately 3am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested William Vanhorn, 35, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with driving on a suspended license, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, and drinking on the highway.  The arrest occurred in the 1300 block of East 3rd Street, in Hope.  Vanhorn was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
