Roderick Deon McKinney also known as Zeus, was born on Monday March 14, 1983 in Prescott, Arkansas to Dennis Sims Jr. and the late Mary McKinney. Roderick loved sports, especially football and basketball. He even collected basketball and wrestling cards. As a hobby, he loved drawing as well as pottery.

In 2005, Roderick met the love of his life Laketia Gulley (McKinney). On February 24, 2008, they united in holy matrimony and to this union two children were born.

Roderick worked at Firestone for 15 years until his health began to fail him. He departed this life on Monday July 6, 2020 at his home in Rosston, AR. Those who knew Roderick knew that he never met a stranger. He always saw the good in everyone. He enjoyed talking about the Bible and his love for the Lord. Roderick had a kind and humble heart made of gold.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary McKinney-Stuart; his sister, Aleshia Amos; his stepfather, Clifford Stuart; his paternal grandparents, Dennis L. and Ruthie L. Sims, Roy Chester and Gladys McKinney.

Roderick leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Laketia McKinney; three boys, Roderick McKinney Jr., Rodquez McKinney and Ky’Aron Gulley; his father, Dennis L. Sims Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Katrishia (James) Stuart of Fort Smith, AR and Ashley (Ray) Gulley of Prescott, AR; two brothers, Justin Gulley of Memphis, TN and Bryan Thomas of Prescott, AR; four nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
