Hempstead County Arrest Reports

HOPE – Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office has released reports on two incidents from Wednesday.

On July 15, at approximately 9:04 pm, Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Hempstead 44 in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim who stated Ricky Wilkerson allegedly assaulted him after a verbal argument.

After investigation of the incident, deputies arrested Ricky Wilkerson, age 56, of Ozan for Domestic Battery 3rd Degree and Failure to Appear Warrant from Hempstead County and a Failure to Appear with Pike County.

Wilkerson was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility in Hope and is awaiting a first court appearance.

On July 15, Jason Elder, age 36, of Hope was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Elder was was transported to the Hempstead County Detention where he is awaiting a first court appearance.
