Mr. Phillip “Scooter” B. Knighton, Jr., 78 of Fulton/McNab, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September, 14, 2020, in his home. He was born July 8, 1942 in McNab, AR to Phillip B Sr. and Charlene Green Knighton. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Don Knighton, brothers; Charlie “Nit” and Buster Knighton and sister; Rebecca Lewis. Throughout his life, Mr. Knighton was a member of Boy Scouts of America, a founder of the Southwest Arkansas Water System and had served as mayor of McNab, AR. He also served as deacon at Okay Community Baptist Church in Saratoga, AR.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Alice Knighton, one sister; Sue Herman, of Minden, LA, daughter-in-law; Kaye “Mack” Knighton, three grandchildren; Phillip M. Knighton, wife Honour of Hope, AR, Autumn Newsom, husband Zach of Guernsey, AR and Amber Ray, husband Cody of Waldo, AR,  two great-grandchildren; Elizabeth and Braxton, and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Columbus Cemetery with Bro. Ernie Sorrells. Burial to follow at Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, AR.
