Knifemaking class offered

WASHINGTON – A knifemaking class will be heldĀ  Sept. 25-27 at Old Washington Historic State Park.

The two-day course will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sept. 25 and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sept. 26, 27.

Cost of the class is $350 per person. Students will be taught how to make knives using the stock removal method, and will use high carbon steel. They will learn how to design, profile and grind a simple knife from stock.
