Homecoming Royalty Presented at Hope High School

HOPE – Officially termed the Hope High School 2020 Pandemic Homecoming, the annual renewal of old acquaintance and tradition opened here October 2nd with the crowning of HHS Homecoming Queen Na’Tyja White.

White is the 17-year old daughter of William White and Nicole Stuart. She intends to study nursing at the University of Central Arkansas after graduation; and, she is currently active in Talent Search, National Honor Society, Bobcat Varsity Cheer, Ladycat Basketball, and Ladycat Track.

White was escorted during the pre-game ceremonies at Hammons Stadium by her father, William White. Presenting the honors to the Homecoming Queen were senior Bobcats Samuel Munoz, Pathos Ward, and Ryan Walker.

Maids of the 2020 HHS Homecoming Court included:

–Lizbeth Arroyo, 17, daughter of Rene and Maria Arroyo, escorted by her father. Arroyo plans to study obstetric nursing after graduation. She is HHS Student Council President, and is active in National Honor Society, Ladycat Soccer, Ladycat Cross Country, and her church, Calvary Baptist Church.

–Michaela Clark, 17, daughter of Michael and Natalie Clark, escorted by her father. Clark intends to study psychology at the University of Arkansas after graduation. She is a Bobcat Cheerleader, and is active in her church, Greater Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

–Nia Glover, 17, daughter of Charles and Susan Glover, escorted by her brother, Isiah Glover. Glover plans to study for two years at the University of Arkansas-Hope and continue studies elsewhere to major in athletic training. She is a Bobcat Football Manager, active in Talent Search, and a member of NIKE Club.

–Vernice Leyva, 17, daughter of Arturo Leyva and Maria Leyva, escorted by her father. Leyva plans to enlist in the Air National Guard after graduation and later attend college. She is a member of the HHS Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, Junior Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, CYM, National Honor Society, Ladycat Cross Country, and Ladycat Soccer.

–Nia’kerra Magee, 17, daughter of Michael and Montress Magee, escorted by her father. Magee intends to major in criminology at the University of Central Arkansas. She is active in Talent Search, Ladycat Basketball, Bobcat Cheer, and Ladycat Track.

–Brittany Martinez, 17, daughter of Daniel and Laura Cervantes, escorted by her father. Martinez intends to study nursing at the University of Central Arkansas after graduation. She is a Bobcat cheerleader, active at Calvary Baptist Church, and participates in Ladycat Soccer, HHS Student Council and Talent Search.

–Mariuna McClenton, 17, daughter of Mario and Lasonya McClenton, escorted by her father. McClenton plans to major is sports medicine at Prairie View A&M University. She is a member of Talent Search, Ladycat Basketball, and HHS Future Farmers of America.

–DaNya Muldrow, 18, daughter of Ruby Muldrow, escorted by her brother, NiKorean Muldrow. Muldrow will pursue a nursing degree from Henderson State University after graduation. She is active in Ladycat Track, Ladycat Basketball, Talent Search, and her church, House of Jacob.

–Nyla Muldrew, 17, daughter of Amber Monk, escorted by her grandfather, Aaron Monk. Muldrew intends to student social work at Prairie View A&M University after graduation. Muldrew is a four-year member of FBLA, FCCLA, and Talent Search.

–Ashanti Phillips, 17, daughter of Mark Phillips and Tara Nelson, escorted by her grandfather, Tyree Phillips. Phillips plans to study nursing at the University of Central Arkansas. She is a Bobcat Cheerleader, a member of the HHS Student Council, participates in the OBU Trio Program, and plays Ladycat Soccer.

Homecoming also served as Bobcat Football Senior Night.
