He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Beasley, his mother Doris Beasley Craig, sisters Brenda Thurmon and Elizabeth Smith, children, Cory Fowler and his wife Amy, Shawn Beasley and his wife Kim, Brad Sanders and his wife Nichole, and Heather Wheelington and her husband Trent.

Grandchildren include: Mason Wheelington, Atia Sanders, Stephen, Caleb and Grace Fowler, and Conner and Madison Beasley.

At 18 years old Mike chose to enlist in the US Army and serving his country for 2 years. Mike loved working with his hands. He will most be remembered as a hard worker, never backed down from a challenge. He spent many years as a mechanic, loved building things and had accomplished many projects over the years, loved spending time in his yard and loved working on vehicles. He had a great love for animals, especially his cats. Always down to earth with no pretenses….what you saw was what you got. He had a love for fishing and for helping others. You could also say he was very meticulous and organized wanting to do it right the first time which was inspired in him through his Bigdaddy and Dad.

As a young boy, Mike was full of mischief and spirited. His antics could be endless some days.

One of the things about Mike that will always be remembered is he laughed with his eyes…they would sparkle when he found things funny or when he was being funny himself, he could always spin a tale when telling of his many experiences. One thing that will always be remembered is his love for his mother’s cooking.
