NEWS ARTICLE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH HAS HAS RELEASED THE ‘BOIL WATER’ NOTICE ISSUED ON 10/14/2020 4:49:45 PM BY JAMES MAY FOR THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. THIS ORDER WAS ISSUED AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBILITY THAT CONTAMINATED WATER MAY HAVE ENTERED THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AS A RESULT OF COMPLETE LOSS IN NORMAL SYSTEM PRESSURE.
BACTERIOLOGICAL SAMPLES TAKEN ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2020 WERE FOUND TO BE ‘SAFE’ AND A SATISFACTORY DISINFECTANT LEVEL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED THROUGHOUT THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM. THE WATER IS THEREFORE CONSIDERED ‘SAFE’ FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION AND THE ‘BOIL WATER’ NOTICE IS HEREBY LIFTED.
THE BOIL WATER ORDER WAS DUE TO A MAIN BREAK.
