HOPE – The Hope High School Student Council, in partnership with LifeShare Blood Center, will sponsor a blood drive at the HHS campus Nov. 3.

Student Council Sponsor Sheila Hopson said the group has set a goal of 40 units. Hopson said the blood drive not only benefits the local community but also allows the student organization to raise funds.

The event is set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the Auxiliary Gymnasium on the HHS campus.

Donors should refer to guidelines for giving blood at LifeShare.org online to be certain they qualify. Donors must be at least 16 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds while in good health. Students who wish to donate blood will be required to submit a permission form from a parent or guardian.
