Deputy in Accident Identified

HOPE – Hempstead County Deputy Donald “Bo“ Morris, was injured in a three-vehicle traffic accident this morning  at approximately 11:00 am, suffering non-life threatening injuries. Deputy Morris along other deputies were responding to a Domestic Disturbance in Emmet where it had been reported that a subject had kicked in the door of a residence on County Road 55. The accident occurred at 3rd Street and the Bill Clinton Bypass.

Deputy Morris and the female driver of one of the three vehicles were transported by Pafford Ambulance; Morris to St. Michael’s in Texarkana and the female driver to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope. The third driver was not transported.

The accident is being investigated by Trooper Darren Henley of the Arkansas State Police. Further information will be release when the investigation is complete.
