PRESCOTT – There were plenty of deals to be had during the first night of the Prescott Lion’s Club’s annual auction Thursday nigh at the Potlatch Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

A good crowd was on hand for the auction. Club President Penny Lynch said there were doubts about having the auction because of the pandemic, but the decision was made to hold it.

Donations were down somewhat this year, but there were still plenty of turkeys and hams sold off that will be gracing holiday tables soon. Some of the silent auction items include: a gift card to Bass Pro Shop, a golf outing to the Glenwood Country Club, a water cooler, autographed Curley Wolf football helmet, trimmer and Prescott bench.

There were also plenty of gift certificates to restaurants in the area sold off as well. The club will have a second night of auction Saturday with the auction starting at 6 p.m.
