Melon City Sams Donate To Hope In Action

The  Melon City Sams RV chapter donated $878.00 in groceries to the Hope In Action food pantry on Friday, December 18th. Piggly Wiggly (formerly Save-a-lot Grocery) matched the club’s contribution to help provide nutritious food to our community’s residents in need. LaVerne Arledge, club secretary, expressed the chapter’s appreciation to Lisa Slack, Piggly Wiggly store manager, and the employees who got the order ready and to Jeanne Simpson, Hope in Action volunteer and Mr. Jacob for helping to unload the groceries at the food pantry. Mrs. Dulaney said the shelves empty out rapidly so donations are always welcomed!
