Multiple Charges Follow Burglary Call

PRESCOTT – Early Wednesday, December 30th, at approximately 12:11am Prescott Police Department Patrolman Wes Wright and Assistant Chief Alex Gamble were dispatched to a residence at  3rd Avenue/Sandra Kay Evan Boulevard regarding a residential burglary.
Patrolman Wright and Assistant Chief  Gamble observed footprints that lead them to another residence. The officers then made contact with a subject known as Demariea Hendrix. Prescott authorities said the items that were stolen were allededly located in Hendrix’s possession. Detective Colby Tillman allegedly located a small plastic baggie containing a white powder believed to be cocaine. Hendrix was then transported to the Nevada County Detention Center.
Hendrix was charged with Residential Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (x 2), and Criminal Mischief. Hendrix was being held at the Nevada County Detention Center for first court appearance.
