Deborah Ann Collins

McKinley and Beatrice Collins welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Deborah Ann Collins on Wednesday, February 1, 1956 in Lewisville, Arkansas.  Deborah received her education in the Lewisville School District. She was a proud graduate of Lewisville High School, Class of 1974. She went on to further her education in art studies in central Texas.

Deborah was dedicated to her career and found joy in servicing others. She worked as a CNA at Homestead Manor Nursing Home in Stamps, AR and Pine Hope Nursing Home in Hope, AR. While living in Hope, AR, she worked as a production worker at Hudson Foods, Tyson Foods, Champion Generator Plant, and Meyer’s Bakeries. She was no stranger to hard work, and many of her co-workers enjoyed her joyful and caring attitude.

Deborah went on to have six children – Louis “Danny”, Raymael “Pat”, Jeffery, Johnny Jr. “June Bug”, Ashley, and Nicholas “Nick”. She also adopted her step-son Cedric as her own. She loved being a mother and is the proud grandmother to 22 grandchildren.

In her pastime, Deborah enjoyed gardening, fishing, crocheting, and singing. She received her eternal wings on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by: her parents, McKinley Collins Sr. and Beatrice Collins; and her brother, Early B. Collins.

Deborah was an amazing mother, sister and friend. She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Rev. Cedric Sharp, Louis “Danny” Tate, III, Raymael “Pat” Tate (Carla), Jeffery Sharp, Johnny “June Bug” Sharp, Jr., Ashley Sharp, and Nicholas “Nick” Sharp; grandchildren, Damion, Destinee, Kahlil, Alexia, Morgan, Madison, Jayla, Jacquize, Cedric Jr., Zion, Caia, Cedricka, Jori, Autum, Jaden, Braxton, Brandon, Jasmine, Jacari, Johniya, Cameron, Jacayden; sisters, Dorothy Stuart, Betty Williams, Barbara O’Guinn, Margie Collins and Mary Gulley; brother, McKinley Collins Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Deborah has been quoted as saying, “Be sure to make someone proud today, because I am already proud of you.”
