The Hope Civitan Club provided Christmas gift shoeboxes and baskets this year to Veterans residing in local nursing or assisted living facilities.  The project was adopted by Civitans after the traditional Veterans Day celebration sponsored by local civic clubs had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.  Pictured at the presentation of the gifts in the left photo are (from left) Tiffany Burnett of Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab and Civitans Twyla Pruden, Club President Eva Morehead, Beckie Moore, and Jerry Pruden.  Shown in the second photo are Noelle Ivec of Hope Haven Assisted Living, Pruden, Sarah Brown of Hope Haven, and Morehead.  Civitan Club members filled the Christmas boxes and baskets with personal care items, reading and writing materials, and whimsical gifts, purchased with funds provided to the club by generous community donors as well as Civitan Club members.
