Mr. James R. “Buddy” Wilson, age 88 of Columbus, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home. Buddy was born December 28, 1932 to Joe and Grace Levins Wilson in Hope, Arkansas. He was a loving, devoted husband, father and papaw, who dearly loved spending time with family. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hope, AR; member of Arkansas Farm Bureau; and for several years, the President of Columbus Cemetery Association. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his beloved wife, Claudette Doyle Jackson Wilson of Columbus, AR; Son, J.R. (Bobby) Wilson, Jr. and Barbara of Hope, AR; Two daughters, Carol Evans and Jim of Odessa, TX, Stephanie Sukaria, and Husein of Dearborn, MI; Sister, Emily Jo Bissell and John of League City, TX; Six grandchildren: Tres Wilson, Davis Wilson, Sam Sukaria, Jacob Evans, Nathan Sukaria, and Seth Sukaria; and a host of friends.

Due to the pandemic, a private graveside service will be held for only close family at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, AR. A celebration of life will be held in the coming months for friends and extended family.
