Mr.Willie J Roy, Jr.

Mr. Willie J. Roy, Jr. was born July 30, 1945 to Mr. Willie James Roy. Sr and Mrs. Ophelia McKinney Roy in Waterloo, Arkansas.  Mr. Roy graduated from Waldo High School.  In 1974 he moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas where he started working and a few short months later he came back to Prescott to get and marry the love of his life Ms. Vickie Holliman who would remain his wife and by his side until his death.  Through that union two children would be born, TaMisha and Marcus forming a blended family of four children.

Mr. Roy departed this earth on January 28, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mr. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years Mrs. Vickie Holliman Roy.  Three sons, Darcey Roy of Hope, Arkansas, Frederick and his wife Lisa of Springfield, Missouri and Marcus Roy of North Little Rock, Arkansas.  One daughter, TaMisha and her husband James Howard of Jacksonville, Arkansas.

His surviving siblings are two sisters, Annie and her husband Nathan King of Radcliff, Kentucky and Mary Anderson of Jacksonville, Arkansas and two brothers Edward and Billy Roy both of Jacksonville Arkansas.

He as well has a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other friends and relatives.

Prior to death and retirement Mr. Roy was a supervisor for Stone Container in Jacksonville, Arkansas until they closed then worked for CMC Steel until his retirement.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday February 6, 2021 at McKinney Cemetery in Willisville, Arkansas at 2:00 p.m.  There will be a visitation at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel 415 East First Street; Stamps Arkansas on Friday February 5, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
