Dorothy Langston
Dorothy M. Langston, of Hope, AR, passed away on Feb. 17, 2021 at Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab, in Hope, AR., after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Langston, was born Feb. 16, 1920, in Nevada County, to Owen Brice and Grace Maunz Jones. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, in Hope, AR. She was a member of the Medical Park Hospital Auxiliary, and enjoyed serving as a “Pink Lady”, for many years. She was a homemaker and loved sewing, quilting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband (of 59 years), James Olen Langston, her sister, Martha Jane Langston, and a grandson, James Richard Eubanks.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Louise Miller of Homer, LA., and Linda Ellis (Butch) of Prescott, AR.; a sister, Mavis Hotchkiss of Ashland, Oregon; a granddaughter, Jill Cook (Richard), of Homer, LA., 5 grandsons: Mark Miller of Texarkana, AR, John Eubanks (Teassa) of Donaldson, AR, Paul Eubanks (Stacie) of Rosston, AR, Lonnie Ellis (Robin) of McKinney,TX, and Brandon Ellis (Liz) of Durant, OK; 15 great, grandchildren; 8 great, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the corona-virus situation, a memorial service will be held at a later time.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, aides and all the staff of Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab, who have lovingly taken care of our mother and grandmother for 11 years; and we are also very grateful to Hospice for their loving care.
