HOPE – Hope Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Bobby Hart announced today that nominations for the 2021-2022 Hope Public Schools Educator Hall of Fame class are being sought.

Dr. Hart emphasized the contribution of classroom teachers which has been markedly noticeable in the era of COVID-19.

“We want all of our patrons to consider nominating a teacher that made an impact on their lives,” Hart said. “They deserve to be recognized.”

Nominations are typically presented to a selection committee in an independent ballot and are

solicited from the community, from professional education organizations and from education-related organizations.

Nominations are sought of former HPSD educators with at least 10 years of active service as an HPSD classroom educator, administrator or support professional, inclusive of posthumous nominations.

Honorees will be recognized in ceremonies during the Fall, 2021, semester, pending the resolution of COVID-19 restrictions, and in compliance with state and federal guidance. The HPS Educator Hall of Fame was inaugurated as part of the Hempstead County Bicentennial year in 2018.

Nominations should be mailed to Hart’s attention at 117 E. Second St., Hope, Ar., 71801 or to bobby.hart@hpsdistrict.org online.
