Russell Howard Smith

Russell Howard Smith, 54, of Benton, formerly of Hope passed away March 10, 2021 in Benton.

Russell was born April 26th, 1966, to Ronnie Gene and Beverly Ann Galleher Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Gene Smith, a sister Ronda Willis, as well as his beloved dog of 15 years, Ozzy.

Russell is survived by daughters; Hannah Dare, Kayley Ann and Ava Hope Smith, and their mother Jennifer Butler Smith; a sister Cynthia Hodge (Wayne) and Kenny Smith (Deanna). Nieces Beth Clark, Chelsea Chambers, Caroline Hodge, and Katelyn Smith. Nephews Corey McBurnett, Clinton and Jordan Willis, Phil Jr and Parker Taylor. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Russell worked in inside sales for Darragh Company, was a United States Veteran, serving in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm with the 148th Evacuation Hospital and an avid outdoorsman and handyman. He was commonly referred to as “Mr. Fix It.” and spent his Sundays rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and watching NASCAR.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 1:00pm at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel.
