Kiwanis Club Hears From Mikki Curtis

The Hope Kiwanis Club recently heard from Mikki Curtis, Dean of Secondary Programs at UAHT. She talked specifically about the Hope and Texarkana Collegiate Academies. This is the third year for the Hope Collegiate Academy. She noted the academy welcomed 16 new students this year. Curtis said the 11th grade had 20 students and the 12th grade has 19 graduating this year with both their high school diploma and their Associates Degree from UAHT. She also talked about the various four year colleges these graduates will attend. She noted a couple will move on to the workforce to work in family-owned businesses. Curtis said applications are open for the upcoming year and can be found online on the college website. Tenth graders may apply through June 1st. There will also be an informational meeting at the Hope High Auditorium April 6th at 6pm for interested students. It will also be live-streamed and recorded for anyone who would like to see it later.
