The HighLifter Mud Nationals will be held this week at Blevins on the 7th through the 11th at Hillarosa Park on highway 29 north.  Thousands of off road enthusiasts come from all over the country (and the world!) for the event.  There will be a wide variety of racing and competion events for ATV’s and UTV’s.  There will also be a Poker Run as well as the “Bad 2 Da Bone” competition where custom builds and one-of-a-kind units show off for big money and bragging rights.  There will also be live music on the Blackwood Lumber Stage.  Hillarosa is located at 6214 highway 29 just north of Blevins.  More info is available on the Hillarosa Facebook Page.

   A steady stream of RV’s and trailers have been headed through Blevins for the past several days.  In addition, the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department’s mobile command unit was onsite as well as representatives from the county and state OEM, Pafford, and Arkansas State Police Troop “G”.
