Wayne Richard Smith, age 65, of Hope, AR passed away April 10, 2021 at LifeTouch Hospice in El Dorado, AR.

Wayne served in the Air Force in Vietnam.  He was also a firefighter and paramedic in the Texas Panhandle before settling into his life’s career as a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Gilley Smith, of 31 years, daughters Laura Smith of Texarkana, TX, Sabrina Smith of El Dorado, AR, and Kirstie Beard (Chris) of Hope, AR. One son, Christopher Smith (Michelle) of Hillsboro, MO.  One sister, Edna Elmer (James) of Prescott, AR.  Eleven grandchildren, three nephews, his best friend Tom Dadisman of Bismark, AR and many other dear friends made during a long career in the trucking industry.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Royal and Lorena Smith and one brother, Ronnie Smith.

We greatly appreciate the loving and tender care given to him by the nurses and staff at LifeTouch Hospice in El Dorado.
