Danny Marshall Spicer, 68, of McCaskill, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was born July 25, 1952, in Nashville, AR, to Luther and Marie Spicer. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Annie Marie Norton, and one brother, Eugene Spicer.

Danny was a Blevins High School graduate, Class of 1970. He was a truck driver for Hudson and Tyson Foods with more than three million accident-free miles.

Danny was a member of the congregation of Friendship United Methodist Church and a regular attendee at Avery’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and bush hogging. He loved his family, friends, cats and his John Deere tractor.

Left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 47 years, Mary Jo Spicer; his son, Eddie (Farrah) Spicer; his daughter, Mandy Spicer; his grandchildren, Marshal Spicer and Hayden Hicks; one sister, Katie Norwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friendship Cemetery Fund, 328 Hempstead 269, McCaskill, AR 71847, or Avery’s Chapel Cemetery Fund, 194 Hempstead 284, McCaskill, AR 71847.

Services will be Friday, April 30, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Friendship Methodist Church with Joe Miller and Gene Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Nashville Funeral Home on Thursday night fro,m 6-8 p.m.
