Hornet trio earns scholarships

BLEVINS – Three seniors from Blevins High Schools were presented with scholarships during Friday’s achievement assembly in the g=ym.

Kelsey Whitson was presented the $250 Felice Flaherty Scholarship from the Hope Lions Club. The presentation was made by Wendell Hoover.

Next up was Mary Johnson presenting two scholarships from the Hope Evening Lions Club. They went to Macaya Newsom and Linda Hill.

Sgt. First Class Christie Vasquez presented Hunter Hargraves with a recruiting point and a check for $160,000 as  part of the GI Bill as he’s joined the U.S. Army.
