Improvements Made At Graves-Foster Water Treatment Plant
In order to be in compliance with the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act, major improvements were made to the Water Treatment Plant that was originally built in 1982. The project began in June 2018 and was completed in December 2020. It included 2 new 750,000 gallon clearwells that have mixing, aeration, and ventilation; in addition a new pump station was built with all new pumps. The 1st clearwell and pump station was placed in service on January 3, 2020 and the 2nd clearwell was placed in service on December 10, 2020. The total cost of the project was about $12,735,000.
