Compared to last week: Feeder steers 1.00-4.00 higher. Feeder heifers 2.00-5.00 higher. Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady to 1.00 lower. Quality was plain to average. Buyers were very active on a strong offering of replacement cows. Yearling type cattle demand was good. New crop calves are being discounted. Supply included: 63% Feeder Cattle (53% Steers, 43% Heifers, 4% Bulls); 20% Slaughter Cattle (80% Cows, 20% Bulls); 17% Replacement Cattle (5% Stock Cows, 10% Bred Cows, 85% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 28%.
