PRESCOTT – With the relaxing of COVID restrictions, members of the Prescott Ministerial Alliance decided to have a Spring Fling on the parking lot at First Baptist Church Saturday.

The event ran from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with youngsters having a good time tossing bean bags, getting their faces painted, participating in a cake walk, playing in the bounce house and Bingo, along with enjoying popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks.

In addition, there was a booth where children could paint rocks and make bracelets. Singers were on hand to keep everyone entertained as well and one church handed out bags of apples and oranges with bottles of water for people to take home.

Rev. Ron Majors said the idea came about to give people something to do and get out of the house after being cooped up so much because of COVID-19. It worked as people of all ages showed up throughout the day to enjoy a warm Saturday and have some fun.
