Donors ready for cuffs and hoses blood drive
PRESCOTT – Friday was the annual Cuffs and Hoses blood drive for LifeShare Blood Services.
The bloodmobile was set up in the parking lot of First United Methodist Church where donors went to give blood. Tammie Rose, with the Prescott Police Department, spearheaded the drive, calling people to get them to donate. More blood is needed in summer because of the higher number of people on the roads heading to and from vacation spots.
The drive went from 2-7 p.m. with the challenge being which agency could get more donors, the PPD or the Prescott Fire Department. Donors received special t-shirts while the supplies lasted along with crackers and juice.
