HOPE – History and preservation can be used in many ways in a community. One way this has been seen has been the formation of the Hope Downtown Network to promote and revitalize the downtown district of Hope, Arkansas and support local businesses.  The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday evening June 22, 2021 at the Tailgaters Burger Co. Meeting Room located at 101 South Main in Hope, Arkansas at 7pm. Everyone is welcome. Feel free to support a local Hempstead County business and bring your supper to the meeting. The guest speaker for the evening will be Bob Erwin of Hope. Erwin served as the past president of the Hope Downtown Network and will be speaking about the impact of the network and its goals of revitalizing the historic district of downtown Hope, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.

If you have any questions concerning the event itself call 870-703-8256 or email hempsteadhistory@gmail.com.
