We decided that this would be a good way to boost the spirits of the elderly while they are in quarantine and away from family. The Church of Acts started writing letters during the Covid shutdown , but there were too many residents to write in a reasonable amount of time, so we reached out to the Nevada school district to help us encourage the elderly, while also teaching the young to think about others! The principal Mrs. Tonda Pennington happily agreed! Thanks to Mrs Pennington, Nevada school district, and the church of Actions , the Live Oak nursing home residents received a great blessing of encouraging letters and drawings! The Church of Actions is looking to pair with other local school districts to supply all Nursing Home facilities in the Hempstead and Nevada county area with an extra dose of joy !
