Patriotic chalk art contest at museum

PRESCOTT  – With Independence Day right around the corner, the Nevada County Depot and Museum is having a patriotic sidewalk chalk art contest.

The contest will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 1, at the museum. Children are invited to participate and show their patriotism by drawing their patriotic art on the museum’s parking lot.

Parents are invited to come and cheer their children on as the youngsters compete for prizes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Prizes will be awarded and refreshments served. Chalk will also be provided.

Participants will be given a flag to hang at the museum in honor of the July 4th celebration. For more information, call 870-887-5821.
