King Awarded Scholarship From Arkansas County Treasurer’s Association

Kristina King of Hempstead County was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Arkansas County Treasurer’s Association.  The presentation was made in June at the State Treasurer’s Association meeting held at Mt. Magazine.  Hempstead County Treasurer Judy Flowers is Secretary of the state organization and made the presentation.

King is a graduate of the Hope Collegiate Academy of the Hope Public Schools.  She also graduated from UAHT with an Associates of Arts Degree.  She was in the inaugural class of the Hope Collegiate Academy and was in the first graduating class.  She has been working also at the Hempstead County Library.

King will be attending Harding University in Searcy where she plans to pursue a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.  Because of her degree from UAHT she will be starting in upper level and junior classes and hopes to complete her degree in five semesters.
