Summer reading program kicks off

PRESCOTT – After a year’s absence, the Nevada County Library is bringing back its summer reading program.

Space will be limited so it’s best to get there early when the events are going on. The first will be July 19 from 10-11 a.m. when the Balloon Man shows up and will perform his magic show.

Next up will be Build a Bear on July 20, also from 10-11 a.m. On July 21, from 3-4 p.m. it will be Animalogy Tales

The program will end on July 28 with live animals for the youngsters to observe. This event will also be from 3-4 p.m.

Those planning on attending are asked to come to the library and register for the events. Registration has begun and will close when all spots are taken..

Free lunches are provided at the library from 12-2 p.m. daily.
