President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site Holds “Junior Ranger Day”

The President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site held “Junior Ranger Day” this past Friday.  The youngsters participating had the opportunity to earn patches by attending programs hosted by Park Rangers, got to take a guided tour of the birthplace home, and had the opportunity to complete a Junior Ranger Booklet.  One of the programs focused on clean drinking water and actions President Clinton took to protect clean drinking water.  Another program was on President Clinton’s family tree.

Junior Ranger Day is held in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the site. On April 16th, 2011 the National Park Service welcomed President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site as the 394th national park site.

The anniversary celebration continues! Mark your calendar for August 19th when Ranger Ali presents A Very Jazzy Decade to celebrate the birthday of President Clinton. This saxophone jazz performance features the accompaniment of Park Rangers from New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park (virtually) from inside the Birthplace Home. Find this special program posted on the park webpage and social media pages.

Administered by the National Park Service, an agency of the Department of the Interior, President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site preserves the birthplace home of President William Jefferson Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States.
