Douglas Guthrie

On August 2, 2021, Douglas Guthrie, passed away at the age of 66.  He was born on December 2, 1954 in Prescott, AR to JoAnne and Adam Guthrie, Jr.  He received his associates degree from Red River VoTech and worked in the Forestry business.  A friend to many, Doug had a passion for the Prescott Curley Wolves, being outdoors, and his grandchildren.  He was an avid historian of Curley Wolf football.  He loved hunting, fishing, sports, and collecting.  He was known affectionately as Pa to his grandchildren.  He enjoyed talking football with his grandsons and sharing his many memories with his granddaughters.  Doug was preceded in death by his parents.  He survived by his ex wife Suzanne Marbury, three daughters Cara Loe (husband Ronny), Melanie Yates, Lauren Guthrie, his brother Bruce Guthrie, sister Paula Dendy, nephews Chris Dendy and Ty Guthrie, and his grandchildren Lily Loe, Maddux Yates, Ava Loe, Ivy Loe, Pierce Yates, and Greer Guthrie.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 5^th, 2021 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes West 2^nd Street Prescott, AR at 2 o’clock p.m.
