Hope Civitan Club Wins Honors

Hope Civitan Club President Eva Morehead, center, and Civitans Twyla and Jerry Pruden present certificates awarded to the club following Civitan’s Heartland District Convention held in Kansas City, KS, August 13-15.  The three members represented the Hope Club at the convention.  Awards given to the Hope Club were for Service to Veterans, for a project in which the club delivered Christmas gifts to Veterans in local care facilities, and a Youth Service Award for Civitan’s annual high school scholarship.  Twyla Pruden is editor of the Heartland District newsletter, the Heartland Express, which was named Outstanding District Newsletter for 2019-20 at the Civitan International Convention held in Jacksonville, FL, in July.  That honor was a second consecutive win for the Heartland District, with Pruden as editor.
