The Hope High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps presented a Patriot’s Day ceremony on Sept. 11 in remembrance of the lives lost, heroism shown, and actions taken on that day when four commercial airliners were hijacked and used in the largest mass casualty terrorist attack upon American soil. AFJROTC Senior Aerospace Science Instructor Lt. Col. (Ret.) Mark Hart read the remembrance as cadets raised, then lowered the American flag to half-staff and the sounding of Taps was played. – Lekia Jones/Hope Public Schools
