Hope Quilters Guild Plans Show October 8th & 9th At Hempstead Hall

The Hope Quilters Guild has set its quilt show for October 8th and 9th at Hempstead Hall.  The event will be 9:30am until 5pm each day and admission is free.  Over 125 quilts will be on display.  In addition to the show, there will be 12 vendors on hand selling fabric, sewing machines, and other items of interest to quilters.  There will also be demonstrations and homemade door prizes.

Chances will be sold on the quilt displayed here.  It was made by the guild members and the proceeds will benefit the guild.

The Hope Quilters Guild has been active since 1983 and currently has about 45 members.  The members are not just limited to the Hope area but come from around southwest Arkansas with members from Texarkana, Mena, Prescott, and Murfreesboro.  The guild meets the first Monday of the month at the Southwest Research and Extension Center.  Visitors are welcome.  Anyone who would like to learn more about the Quilters Guild can contact Judy Heckman at 777-8585.
