PRESCOTT – Night one of the Prescott Lions auction saw a lot of items sold in a hurry Thursday night.

The auction was held at the Potlatch Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, with bargain hunters ready and in a buying mood. Hams and turkeys brought in the most, as the retail cost of these items has increased at grocery stores. Dr. Mike Young was able to buy most of the hams and turkeys, but not all of them. Several things were being sold in the silent auction, including a grill made by UAHT students – always a popular sale item for the auction.

The final night of the auction will be Saturday with the door opening at 6 p.m.
