HOPE – Boys and girls varsity basketball at Hope High School goes into its traditional holiday season schedule next week under continued COVID-19 protocols.

On the heels of a Nov. 15 affirmation by the Hope Public Schools Board of Education of the required face mask policy which has been in effect since the beginning of the school year, HPS Athletic Director Phillip Turner and HHS Head Basketball Coaches Sam Bradford and Kelly Muldrew have outlined how HHS will protect players and fans.

Face masks will be required at Jones Field House for players on both teams, fans of both teams and students from both schools.

Turner has said social distancing will not be required but is still encouraged as practical. He said Jones Field House will only seat 75 percent of capacity this season, and tickets for all home games will be on sale at the MAC annex door at HHS.

The holiday season schedule for the Bobcats and Ladycats includes:

Dec. 10 – Bauxite, 6 p.m., Away.

Dec. 17 – Arkadelphia, 5 p.m., Home.

Dec. 27-30 – Ladycats, Genoa Tournament, TBA, Away.

Dec. 28-30 – Bobcats, Paris Tournament, TBA, Away.
