Hope Christmas Parade
There were dozens of floats and entries and hundreds of people lining the parade route of the annual Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade on Monday night. Temperatures in the 40’s made the weather just crisp enough to think of Christmas without it being too cold for the kiddos. The parade started on South Main at Brazzel/Oakcrest and wound through downtown before breaking up on Walnut. In addition to the entries, the highlight was Santa’s first visit to Hope for the year and as usual he arrived on a Hope Fire Truck. Following the parade Santa turned on the city’s Christmas Tree and then went to the Tailgater’s patio to receive Christmas wishes from area children.
