Plenty of fun at Chamber Christmas party

PRESCOTT – There was plenty of good natured theft at the annual meeting of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce Wednesday afternoon at the Nevada County Library.

Executive Director Jamie Hillery thanked the board for the help it’s provided during the year, and got things started by explaining the rules to the game of Dirty Santa. It was all in fun as gifts were “stolen” from one person in the hopes the “thief” would be able to keep it for themselves. This didn’t happen often as the goodies were coveted by several. Jeffery Williams got a gag gift when he opened a “mystery envelope” that contained a single dollar bill. However, the giver provided Williams with the remaining $14 to cover the maximum allowed on the cost of gifts.

At the end of the festivities, Hillery gave everyone a Chamber glass to take home. She also cooked the meal, lasagna, with salad and brownies for dessert.
