Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship General Information
The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce will award two $250 scholarships to be used for college tuition, books, or room and board.
The Application deadline is April 8th, 2022. All applications should be returned to your school counselor.
Scholarship Criteria:
- The applicant must be a Nevada or Prescott High School Senior.
- The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to be considered for the scholarship and preference will be given to those with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better. 3. The applicant must plan on attending a 2 or 4 year college or technical school. 4. Two letters of recommendation must be submitted with application: A. One from a counselor or teacher from your school.
- One from a person in your community or a church member.
- Applicant must write a paragraph on their career goals.
NOTICE: If you should be awarded this scholarship, your scholarship money will be forwarded to the financial aid office of the school that you will be attending. The Chamber will need a letter from the registration office of the College or University that you will be attending. The letter must state the intent of the student to attend, the status of the student as full time (12 or more hours) and the date of the fall semester. Once we receive the letter, the Chamber will mail a check to the College or University in your name.
Deadline for redeeming scholarship is August 31st, 2022.

Dear Scholarship Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in the Junior Auxiliary of Nevada County (JANC) Scholarship Program. Enclosed are the basic documents which are required for anyone applying for the “Junior Auxiliary of Nevada County Scholarship.”
Applicant must be a graduating high school senior, enrolled in a College, University or Vocation/Technical School as a full–time student. The deadline for return of the scholarship application is March 31st of each school yr. Children of JANC members niay apply if they meet the criteria, but the Junior Auxiliary of Nevada County member (parent, grandparent or relative) of the applicant may not hold a seat on the Scholarship committee.

It is important that the application, together with all the supporting documentation be postmarked NO LATER THAN March 31st of each year. Any application bearing a postmark LATER THAN the listed date and/or incomplete will not be considered by the Junior Auxiliary of Nevada County Scholarship Committee.

Hello, my name is Angelo Goshen, an alum of Prescott High School class of 2002. Currently I reside in Columbus, GA with my wife Sharon and our two children. As Founder of the Spilled Milk Foundation/Scholarship it is an honor to be able to give back to a student who will soon be graduating and attending a college/university/vocational/or technical school in the summer or fall. The Spilled Milk Scholarship is awarded to one student annually who meets the criteria of this scholarship, it is to be paid out in two installments, one Fall payment in the sum of $500and one Spring payment in the sum of $500 and is non-renewable.

Scholarship Criteria: For full-time or part-time art majors. Selection based on talent and financial need. Award: Up to $2,000 per semester in the freshman year, based on amount of financial need. Renewable for three years with completion of at least 6 hours (3 in art) for part-time students and 12 hours (6 in art) for full time students, submission of portfolio in spring semester of each year, 3.0 GPA in major, after freshman year, 3.25 GPA in major after sophomore and junior years; and good standing with the university. The scholarship can increase up to $1,000 each year so that in the senior year, up to $5,000 per semester may be awarded. Increases in the scholarship amount are based on the above and review of financial need.

All applicants: One page letter of application which describes your previous experiences in art and how you want to expand your knowledge and abilities in art at UCA. Two recommendation letters from high school teachers, preferably at least one letter from an art teacher. An official high school transcript.
