City prepared for icing
PRESCOTT – While huge icicles aren’t hanging from rooftops, it’s still plenty cold with more precipitation predicted for today.
Because of the uncertain weather conditions, Prescott Mayor Terry Oliver said those living on the west side of town who get their trash out by noon will have it picked up today. Trash pickup tomorrow will depend on road conditions. Street crews will be available Friday to put solvent down where needed, especially nursing homes and businesses choosing to open.
He said the Hamilton-Blakeley Senior Center will be closed today because of the weather. He added City Hall will be open Friday and solvent will be spread for those coming to pay their bills.
