The Hope High School Senior Class defeated the junior jinx at Hammons Stadium to win the annual Powder Puff Football Classic 19-13 in a rare overtime game April 27. Trailing 13-6 at halftime, the Seniors scored quickly after the break to tie the game, which turned defensive as they made a goal line stand to ensure the overtime. The Seniors then sealed their win with a touchdown and kept the Juniors out of the end zone as the clock wound down. The Sophomores defeated the Freshmen in the halftime Tug of War to complete the upper class dominance of the game.
