Local Folks Take Part In Tourism Week Activities At Welcome Centers

Arkansas Tourism Week activities were held at the Arkansas Welcome Centers in Texarkana last week.  Several local people were on hand to promote their organizations.  Melissa Nesbitt from the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives was on hand Thursday at the Welcome Center on US 71 north of Texarkana.  Heather Shelman of  the Nevada County Depot Museum was at the I-30 Welcome Center on Tuesday along with her husband Daniel Shelman who is Superintendent of White Oak Lake State Park.  Also, a group including Shelia Little-Adams were at the I-30 Welcome Center on Thursday.  The event gives representatives of parks and attractions the opportunity to tell their story to people from around the country.
