Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 550 lbs. 6.00-14.00 higher; over 500 lbs. 3.00-8.00 higher. Feeder heifers 2.00-8.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 2.00 higher. Quality was average. Market is really strong on all classes of cattle. Much needed rain has improved pasture conditions over the last week. Buyers participation was very active. Supply included: 84% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 44% Heifers, 13% Bulls); 13% Slaughter Cattle (75% Cows, 25% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (67% Bred Cows, 33% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 15%.
